Dear Colleague:

Did you know that there is a financial institution whose sole purpose is to provide "banking" services to artists, arts organization and arts workers? Probably not. Even after sixteen years, the Artists Community Federal Credit Union (ACFCU) is a well kept secret.

We provide flexible and friendly service, and we understand what it means to work in the arts. The ACFCU exists only to provide financial services to the arts community. We are not about making money for stockholders.

We offer individual artists, arts workers and nonprofit arts groups the following:

free or low cost checking with ATM access
CDs and IRAs at competitive interest rates
savings accounts
money market fund paying interest rates comparable to banks
loans, both secured and unsecured (BUT in the interests of full disclosure, we are not a good source for an emergency loan if you are a new member. Nor do we make unsecured loans to arts groups. Sorry, but we do not want to mislead anyone).

Deposits in the credit union are federally insured up to $100,000 -- just like that bank you probably currently do business with and gripe about every few weeks. But we are not like a bank. We know the arts and we understand how artists earn money.
